International symposium: Better Campus, Better City: Learning for a Sustainable Future

 How can the development of cities and urban life be better connected to the sustainable development of University campuses? The ISCN Symposium will serve to explore the pivotal role University campus communities can play in fostering sustainable development of cities and in society at large. Campus communities can serve as role models and living laboratories developing technical and design solutions as well as best practices.

This Symposium, held in conjunction with the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, is jointly organised by the University of Luxembourg, Tongji University, and the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN). The Luxembourg government and Tongji University are providing for the venues in the Luxembourg Expo Pavillion and the main Tongji Campus, respectively. The theme of the ISCN Symposium is intricately linked with the organising theme of the expo ‘Better City, Better Life’.
